MMH Education Department
can help you with your resolve to improve on the past and affect
change for the better. Education EMPOWERS! Health Education
SAVES! Our goal is to help you facilitate mental, physical,
and spiritual learning toward Quality Health for yourself and
your family in 1998 and beyond - even into the next century -
through this Powerful Source - EDUCATION. Here are
a few of the programs available through Minidoka Memorial Hospital's
Education Department:
- Community Wellness program - Six separate sessions
(available collectively or separately as your needs dictate)
complete with workbook, and teaching. Available to groups, families
etc.
- Speaker's Bureau Featuring a variety of topics
including stress and related subjects, hospital goals, general
health and wellness. General mental and spiritual well being,
etc.
- Continuing education classes for the health care
professionals.
- Hospital tours for schools and other private groups
or organizations.
- Materials, videos, etc. on many health related
subjects which can be used in classroom settings to enhance
your teaching.
- C.P.R. and First Aid classes for all ages. (Requires
a fee to American Heart Association for carded certification)
- Health and Safety classes for businesses and other
groups.
- Prenatal classes for the expectant parents.
- B.O.O.S.T. (Beat obesity with options, support,
and talk), a class for the weight conscious offering support,
recipes, and information on how to use the Pyramid Food Guide
for weight loss and maintenance.
