Welcome to Minidoka Memorial HospitalWelcome to Minidoka Memorial Hospital. We hope your stay as possible, and we hope you, or your loved one, recovers quickly. Minidoka Memorial Hospital is a county-owned hospital, governed by a Board of Trustees made up of members of the community. We have no stockholders. There's no out-of-state corporation requiring money. The only purpose of this hospital is to care for people. Minidoka Memorial Hospital provides a number of healthcare services, including inpatient and outpatient care, home health, extended care rehabilitation, and ambulance services. Surgery and obstetrics are provided in the new addition on the west side of the campus. There are several areas designated for quiet meditation. The "Quiet Room" near the emergency department has been furnished by the hospital guild, a group of volunteers from the surrounding area. This room is available to anyone seeking a quiet, peaceful location for meditation, consultation, or prayer. Another room is available in the new addition. This room is labeled the "Consultation Room" and is available upon request in the surgical and obstetrical addition. Snacks and meals are available at the dietary department. The dietary department is open during meal times. If you desire a cup of coffee, juice, or other foods when the kitchen is closed, please contact a member of the hospital staff (your nurse) and food or drink will be provided. Finding your way around the hospital can be confusing, especially if you do not visit often. Signs are posted in various locations to help you find your way. Please feel free to approach any hospital staff member to ask for directions or help finding where you need to go. As stated above, the sole purpose of Minidoka Memorial Hospital is to serve people. There are occasions when we become wrapped up in medical technology and treatment at the hospital and fail to consider human needs. Please speak up when we do not meet your expectations or when you have a question that is not getting answered. Again, we hope your stay is as comfortable as possible and that you, or your loved one, gets well soon. |
