Although Arvid, his wife and children are listed as born and married in Karlskoga, Karlskoga parish was not organized until 1586 and Brickegården was part of Knista in the early 1500s.
K.J. Friskopp thinks that Arvid Jonsson's wife is the daughter of a Jordan, because the unusual name, Jordan, is so prominent in this family, and because Arvid appears to be the son of Johan. The only Jordan in the area at this time is a Jordan living in Gysta, Knista, Örebro. Jordan is listed in the tax records in Gyffesta, Knista parish, for 1555,1556, and 1667 [sic--should be 1557] where he paid the same tax each year. The farm is called Giusta in 1561 which is likely the present-day Gysta. The farm was then operated by Simon, so Jordan is likely dead.
Jordan är därför sannolikt död."Jordan may have been born about 1510.
